Tom Schwartz Met Tom Sandoval on Craigslist

Ever wondered how Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval met? Well, wonder no more. The internet may have been a different place as far back as 15 years ago. But a man could still find friends for life and roommates via online channels.

The two most hated men on Vanderpump Rules had to start somewhere. And even though their reputations aren’t much to speak of these days, they certainly have come a long way since their early days of friendship.

Some would argue that Schwartz’s friendship with Sandoval just isn’t worth it. Even James Kennedy expressed that Schwartz would be a better Tom without Sandoval. But some friendships just can’t die. That’s the power of longevity. And Craigslist.

Schwartz’s life with Sandoval and Jax

“I met Tom on Craigslist,” Schwartz declared to Nick Viall and the Viall Files crew. “I met him online, we hit it off, we talked a few times, and, yeah; I packed up everything I had in my 2003 Honda Civic, I drove across the country, and the rest is history.” Nick called the Craigslist story “the ultimate meetcute.”

Schwartz then explained that he lived with Sandoval and eventually Jax Taylor as well. The group divided their living space with a sheet down the middle of the room. “Even with a sheet for a wall in the living room, [Jax] was pulling beautiful women.” As the group discussed how Jax managed to repeatedly score with gorgeous women, Nick called him “a master manipulator.”

However, Schwartz defended Jax, saying he had “evolved a lot,” and was “a hell of a father.” Nick, however, couldn’t quite see it that way. He once refused to take a picture with Jax and the two had bad blood ever since. When Schwartz asked if Nick would have Jax on the pod, Nick welcomed the idea, saying he’d love for Jax to show how he’d “evolved.”
