The drama continues for Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz as he expressed his unhappiness at former friend (with benefits) Jo Wenberg for picking and choosing interactions that fit her narrative after their falling out.

Jo appeared on VPR’s 11th season, and while it all started well between her and Tom, the ending wasn’t quite so great. It resulted in the traditional social media fight, with Jo sharing snippets of their text message conversation and Tom eventually blocking her.

Full context

According to Heavy, Tom shared his feelings about Jo’s decision to make their private conversation public during a recent appearance on the podcast Balancing Act with The Valley stars Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick.

He explained that it irked him so much that Jo didn’t give anyone the full context of their conversation. “It was firm. But constructive,” he said. “And it felt like a major violation when she went and read that.”

Tom further reiterated that Jo cherry-picked the texts to fit her narrative. While he understands that she is going through some feelings and was hurt a “little bit,” he still doesn’t like that (according to him), and she conveniently only shared the parts of their conversations that fit her story.

He also confirmed that he has since blocked Jo on social media. “I wish her well but she’s not in my life in any capacity and never will be,” Tom confirmed.

He added, “The reasons I pulled away from Jo are very valid. And she has to respect those.” He added that Jo had told some “egregious lies” that he had since “debunked.” He admitted to calling her out on some of them but didn’t want to make these uncomfortable conversations public.

At the end of the day, he doesn’t like that she is “spinning the narrative that she’s the victim and that he played her.” If everyone knew the whole story, Tom is confident people would be singing a different tune.

However, until then, it’s only natural that people will make their own assumptions, especially when Tom’s ex and friends like Katie Maloney are ready to back her up regarding Tom’s bad behavior.
