So when does the big show start? Depending on where you live in Florida, the partial eclipse will be visible anywhere from 12:35 p.m. in the Panhandle to 4:20 p.m. on the state’s Atlantic coast.

Pensacola: 12:35 p.m. to 3:13 p.m.

Located in Florida's Panhandle (and the Central Time Zone), Pensacola will be among the first cities in the state to experience the eclipse as it crosses Mexico and the U.S. There, about 76% of the sun will be obscured by the moon at the peak.

Tampa: 1:44 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

In Tampa, expect the solar eclipse to peak around 3:01 p.m. In Sarasota, Naples and other areas on Florida's Gulf Coast, the peak should be around 2:59 p.m. There, about 58% of the sun will be obscured by the moon at the peak.

Orlando: 1:46 p.m. to 4:17 p.m.

In Orlando, expect the solar eclipse to peak at 3:03 p.m. There, about 58% of the sun will be obscured by the moon at the peak.

Miami: 1:47 p.m. to 4:13 p.m.

In Miami, expect the solar eclipse to peak around 3:01 p.m. There, about 46% of the sun will be obscured by the moon at the peak.

Daytona Beach: 1:48 p.m. to 4:18 p.m.

In Daytona Beach, expect the solar eclipse to peak at 3:04 p.m. There, about 59% of the sun will be obscured by the moon at the peak.

Jacksonville: 1:47 p.m. to 4:19 p.m.

In Jacksonville, expect the solar eclipse to peak at 3:05 p.m. There, about 64% of the sun will be obscured by the moon at the peak.
