The new Thierry Mugler exhibition is finally upon us, set to open this week at last.

Hosted at the Brooklyn Museum in New York, "Thierry Mugler: Couturissime" seeks to commemorate the couturier's legacy through a showcase of his best costumes, unpublished archives and films. Set to show approximately 130 of Mugler's most iconic outfits, the exhibition is more than worth visiting and finally, now you can.

Curated by Thierry-Maxime Loriot, the exhibition aims to preserve Mugler's legacy through all of the brand's most innovative moments. Speaking about the curation, Loriot said that "The constant innovations, inventions, and avant-garde architectural silhouettes in the work of Mugler have marked an era. His singular style found a place in the history of fashion that still has a powerful influence on today's generation of couturiers, not only because of its designs, but also because of the strong message of inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment in his body of work."

The curator continued, "To present the exhibition I created with him, in the city he lived in and loved so much, is the most beautiful tribute to celebrate the man and the artist's legacy."

According to Rolling Stone, the new exhibition marks the first venue that Mugler "is not giving his seal of approval to," making it a pretty emotional and pivotal moment for all those involved.

"Thierry Mugler: Couturissime" will run from November 18, 2022 to May 7, 2023, with tickets available on the Brooklyn Museum's website.
