'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans responds to fans who slammed her for posting a bikini pic during Hurricane Florence
The stars of Teen Mom can’t seem to escape drama, even when they’re not being filmed.
Days after Farrah Abraham, formerly of Teen Mom OG, broke down during an episode of talk show Face the Truth, Jenelle Evans clapped back at a Twitter user who criticized one of the North Carolina resident’s posts during Hurricane Florence.
No shit, I meant that caption as in my children are safe and comfortable. Always taking my words and twist them to make it sound negative. #GoAway https://t.co/41y57IKCIB

The post in question was a shot of Evans in a two-piece swimsuit, which she used for her profile picture while the storm was on its way last week. She added a note asking for prayers for the Carolinas. The image has since been deleted and replaced in Evans’s profile with a snapshot of her with two of her three little ones next to a logo saying “Carolina Strong.”
After initially posting it, Evans was confused about why the photo would cause controversy.
I don’t get why everyone’s offended by my profile pic I posted yesterday… I’m in the path of the hurricane, that picture is from months ago while fishing, asking for prayers…. what SO bad or disrespectful about that? 🤔

I’m sorry… I said “PrayForNC” and SC as in EVERYONE. Maybe I won’t ever ask for prayers again and just hope for the best. ✌🏼 https://t.co/Y7cV2EWVGU

FYI that profile pic I posted… that’s a special frame someone else made on the Facebook app. I didn’t make it. Didn’t know that would offend anyone. But it’s funny cuz everyone bitchin aren’t even from NC or SC. 🤦🏻♀️

I’ll worry about my family, you worry about yours. #HowAboutThat ? 🤷🏻♀️

Evans, who married David Eason in September 2017, lives near Wilmington, N.C., but she has shared updates about the town where her mom is located, which is elsewhere in the state.
My mom’s town is washing out slowly. Boiling Springs, Bolivia, and people in Winnabow I hope everyone is ok. Hang in there! Going on day 3 with no power in most areas, including mine. I feel so bad for my mom and her home. Prayers please! ☹️🌊💔 #HurricaneFlorence #PrayForNC

She changed things up Wednesday afternoon when she tweeted, “But with this storm I’m getting skinnier y’all.” By the following morning, she was back to asking for prayers — sans bikini.
Please pray our flood waters go down. Hopefully our county doesn’t turn into an island like the rest of NC coastal counties. 😫😢💔 https://t.co/2Gopaad7Uw

As you can imagine, some responses were much kinder than others.
Girl, I am praying for you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
