Balthazar Getty jumps to Farrah Abraham's defense after talk show appearance goes wrong: 'I was so angry'

Farrah Abraham’s appearance on Monday’s episode of Vivica A. Fox’s new talk show, Face the Truth, did not feature the two acting out funny sketches or cooking up delicious recipes. Instead, the episode featured a drug test and criticism of the way the former Teen Mom OG star is bringing up her 9-year-old daughter, Sophia.

During the episode, Abraham was told she tested positive for barbiturates, although she said she didn’t take any medications at all, and she broke down after being critiqued for her parenting decisions — a topic that’s come up in the past.

Not surprisingly, Abraham was unhappy with the way things went. But, in a less expected move, former Brothers & Sisters actor Balthazar Getty appeared to be just as upset. He lashed out at all five hosts, particularly Fox.

On Wednesday, he expressed some regret over the language he’d used to describe the hosts, who also include clinical psychologist Dr. Judy Ho, attorney Areva Martin, life coach Rosie Mercado, and Judge Mary Chrzanowski, but he also seemed to rationalize what he’d said.

Abraham herself promoted the show in a straightforward way, but she also threw some shade at the ladies in a pair of Instagram posts, claiming in one that she had been the best guest the show will ever have. She derided the experience as having “some non credible host has 4 other women degrade, hate and act like their credible yet can’t even show respect for them selves … let’s just say crap like this is disgusting probably already canceled & she has to pay her audience and guests heavily to even tolerate this backwards thinking what about women lifting women up?”

Abraham also suggested that she would take on Fox in a physical fight, a proposal that Fox seemed to find laughable.

The Empire actress retweeted numerous catty tweets, sometimes with personal notes.

Abraham has had many public feuds in the past, including once with her Teen Mom co-star Amber Portwood at the taping of a reunion show. She was arrested for an altercation with an employee of the Beverly Hills Hotel in June. Oddly enough, Abraham is actually expected to fight another reality TV personality, Flavor of Love’s Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander, supposedly to raise awareness of bullying, on Nov. 10 in Atlantic City, N.J.
