Ted Cruz calls Trent Reznor's claim he tried to attend Nine Inch Nails concert #FakeNews

Ted Cruz says he was never denied VIP access at a Nine Inch Nails concert because he never asked to be on the guest list in the first place. The Texas senator responded to Trent Reznor’s claim Thursday calling the story fake news, adding that the band “is not my music taste.”

At Tuesday’s Nine Inch Nails show in Irving, Texas, the rocker told the crowd that Cruz asked to come to the gig, but Reznor not-so-politely told him no.

“Raise your hand, you guys, nothing to be ashamed of, all right just checking,” he said onstage, adding that Cruz “might be here tonight.”

“He was bugging to get on the guest list, and I told him to f*** off,” Reznor then said. He said that Cruz attended one of their shows as a VIP guest “several years ago” but “drank all the beer and was just a pain in the ass to be around.”

Cruz tweeted that Reznor was “clearly joking.”

“And for the record, I also didn’t ‘drink all his beer’ the last time…but I would have!” he wrote.

Hey … there’s always next time.
