Taylor Swift Said the Sweetest Thing to Emily Blunt’s Daughter: ‘It Makes Me Melt’

Imagine meeting Taylor Swift. A dream come true right? Now imagine meeting Taylor Swift on a day you’re feeling extremely self-conscious about your new haircut — and you’re a preteen. That has the potential to be mortifying! Swift, queen as she is, didn’t let something like an awkward haircut get in the way of making 10-year-old Hazel’s day, and proud mom Emily Blunt can’t get over the kind gesture.
The Fall Guy star shared the sweet story in an April 29 appearance on The Howard Stern Show. “[Taylor Swift] is the nicest. She was so nice to my kids,” Blunt told host Howard Stern, per E! News. She shares Hazel and daughter Violet, 7, with husband John Krasinski.

“My oldest had just cut all of her hair off. Just a very short haircut that she was very self-conscious about,” Blunt continued. “And Taylor Swift goes, ‘God, look at you. You’re just like the sixties beatnik cool kid. I just, I love your style.’” How amazing is that? The “Fortnight” singer is just as nice in real life as she seems.
She went on, “I thought my child was going to faint. It was the best thing anyone’s ever done for my child.” Blunt added, “She’s really cool. She’s very cool.”
“Don’t you love when someone is nice to your kid?” Stern asked.
“It changes everything,” Blunt responded. “Everything. It makes me melt.” Aww! That comment is something that can change a person’s life and whole outlook on themselves!

Swift isn’t the only one who is nice to Blunt and Krasinski’s kids. The Oppenheimer star shared how her Fall Guy co-star Ryan Gosling recently did a sweet gesture for her kids: he sent them roses!
“The roses are still in their playroom at home,” Blunt told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday. “It’s this massive box of roses that spells ‘KEN’ and they’re just so happy about it. I mean, they bring their friends over just to show them.”
“We will never be able to throw them out. And I’ll just be living with Ken for forever,” she joked about Gosling’s character in the Barbie movie.
In an interview with TODAY last month, Blunt shared that her daughters “love [Gosling] so deeply.”
“Actually, my oldest one — it’s the first movie she has expressed any interest in, and it has nothing to do with me. It’s all about Ryan,” she gushed as Gosling quipped, “Oh my God. I think it’s Ken, really.”
At the same time, Gosling’s daughters Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 7, with wife Eva Mendes, also adore Blunt. “My kids call her Mary Poppins,” Gosling shared. “They’re [like,] ‘You’re working with Mary Poppins today?’ Yes I am,” prompting Blunt to laugh at the reference to her titular role in Mary Poppins Returns.
