Taylor Sheridan’s ’Lioness’ has paid roles for soldiers, firefighters in Fort Worth

The latest show from “Yellowstone” creator and North Texas native Taylor Sheridan is looking to cast real-life veterans and first responders.

Legacy Casting, a Texas-based company, posted several notices for “Special Ops: Lioness” season 2, on the website MyCastingFile. The series will begin production in May in Fort Worth.

“Special Ops: Lioness” premiered on Paramount+ last year and stars Zoe Saldana, Nicole Kidman, Laysla De Oliveira and Morgan Freeman. The show follows a CIA operative (Saldana), who attempts to balance her personal and professional lives as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror.

As of Thursday, Paramount has not officially announced that a second season of “Lioness” is in the works.

Casting call for roles in ‘Special Ops: Lioness’

The notices on MyCastingFile call for men and women with military experience to work as background actors on the show.

  • Per the notice, these actors would portray Mexican border agents, airborne soldiers, ISIS fighters and other military personnel. These are paid roles with tentative filming dates in Fort Worth in June.

  • Another casting notice is looking for men and women with real-life law enforcement experience to portray police officers, FBI agents, U.S. Marshals and border patrol agents. These are paid roles with tentative filming dates in Fort Worth in late May.

  • Additionally, Legacy is looking to cast men and women with real-life experience as first responders to portray firefighters, paramedics and EMTs in the show. These are paid roles with tentative filming dates in Fort Worth in late May.

  • Legacy also posted casting notices looking for stand-in actors for “Special Ops: Lioness” stars Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman.

These roles will be ongoing positions during production from May to around October. Stand-in actors take the place of the principal actor as the crew adjusts camera angles and lighting setups.
