Tavern Stage Summer Music Series bringing live music back to Explore Park
ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — For the second year, Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism, Explore Park, and Twin Creeks Brewpub are putting on the Tavern Stage Summer Music Series at Explore Park’s Tavern Stage.
The music series will take place on the second Friday of each month from May to Sept. from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The bands scheduled include popular regional artists ranging in genres from Southern Rock, to Indie and Alternative, and Country in an outdoor setting.
The concert series opens on Friday, May 10 with Virginia Electric, a band known for their Garage Americana and Rock n Roll sound.

Including Virginia Electric, here is the full schedule for the concert series:
June 14: The Floorboards
July 12: Charissa Joy & The High Frequency
August 9: Creedence Clearwater Recital
Sept. 13: Empty Bottles
Admission is free and concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the sound of summer on the Twin Creeks Brewpub lawn. The lawn will be open before concerts begin at 5 p.m. and will stay open until 10 p.m.
