Taraji P. Henson was seen at the Carlyle Hotel ahead of the Met Gala in New York City on Monday wearing a pair of Embellished Strap Pointed-Toe mules from Charles and Keith.
Elevated pointed shoes have become a preferred choice for the actress over the duration of her career. This past December, the “Empire” star made an appearance at the Empire State Building alongside her fellow cast members from “The Color Purple” in a light pink pair of leather stiletto boots. The shoes featured a pointy elongated toe. In September, Henson participated in the “Barbiecore” trend when she stopped by NBC Studios in New York City to discuss her goal of providing resources to HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) and partnership with Kate Spade. For the interview, she wore a pair of Balenciaga’s signature Knife twill pumps, which were crafted in glossy white leather and completed by a 4-inch stiletto heel.
The multi-hyphenate counts Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and Valentino as some of her favorite footwear designers, regularly embracing bold shoe styling.

Charles and Keith’s Embellished Strap Pointed-Toe mules consist of a PU-crafted upper and a synthetic sole. Designed in a mule shape and angular pointed design, the shoes are adorned with a bedazzled strap in the midfoot, and finished with a medium-sized heel estimated to be between 3 and 4-inches. While Henson opted for the black color, the model comes in other color variations as well, including orange and cream. Pricing tends to range between $65 and $100.
