'SYTYCD' All-Star Allison Holker Dishes on Emmys Plans and Her Nomination

Allison Holker isn’t just a talented dancer and an All-Star on “So You Think You Can Dance” – she’s also a 2013 Emmy nominee … and performer.

Since Best Choreography will be presented this year during the Primetime Emmys on September 22, the nominees will be getting the opportunity to show off their skills. According to reports, they’ll be getting a little help from host Neil Patrick Harris.

"There might be some special guests you should be looking for" was all Holker would say on that matter, but she did promise that the stars would be aligning for the number.

"All the choreographers that are nominated are collectively coming together to show why our award is being now presented at the Primetime Emmys," she told Yahoo! TV. "It’s at the very beginning stages. We’ve started the workshopping and production value of things … what our story’s about and the music."

If last week’s episode of “So You Think You Can Dance” is any indication, there’s plenty to look forward to with that number. The show tasked it’s All-Stars – many of whom are fellow nominees – with choreographing and dancing with one of the contestants, a first for the show currently in its 10th season. Holker was partnered with Fik-Shun and created a piece inspired by the racism she experienced in her relationship with her fiancé, Stephen “tWitch” Boss.

"I’m just so ecstatic to be able to share something that hopefully people can connect with and people can grow with me through the television screen," she said before the performance. "I just hope that we can connect with America through telling my story."

As for what she’ll wear on television’s biggest night, Holker played coy, admitting, “I have a few people that are going to be styling me for the Emmys, but I’m not going to reveal who it is yet. I have a couple options that are really beautiful.”

While the 25-year-old is best known for her work on “SYTYCD” and the show still has the majority of the Choreography nominees, Holker is nominated for a piece she created with Derek Hough for “Dancing With the Stars.” You can watch it here:
