Sydney Sweeney Jokes That She’s Sorry for Having ‘Great’ Boobs During Mexico Vacation

The 'Euphoria' actress poked fun at her appearance in an Instagram post while enjoying a getaway with friends

Sydney Sweeney is shrugging off Hollywood producer Carol Baum's comments about her appearance.

On Sunday, April 21, the Euphoria actress, 26, shared some pictures and videos from her getaway to Mexico on Instagram, including one shot of herself wearing a gray sweater with the words, "Sorry for having great t---" written on it.

Another shot showed Sweeney posing with her dog Tank on a boat while wearing a bikini top and tracksuit bottoms, with a further clip showing her smiling and dancing on the beach in front of a mariachi band at sunset.

Sweeney, who is on the trip with friends, also posted multiple snaps of Polaroid pictures from the vacation, as well as another adorable pic of Tank and more fun times with pals. "Good times and tan lines," the Madame Web star captioned her latest post.

Sweeney's post came after producer Baum sparked controversy last week by commenting on her looks and acting abilities.

Referencing Sweeney's recent movie Anyone But You during a discussion with The New York Times film critic Janet Maslin in Pleasantville, New York, Baum said, “There’s an actress who everybody loves now: Sydney Sweeney. I don’t get Sydney Sweeney. I was watching on the plane Sydney Sweeney’s movie [Anyone but You] because I wanted to watch it. I wanted to know who she is and why everybody’s talking about her. I watched this unwatchable movie — sorry to people who love this … romantic comedy where they hate each other,” the Daily Mail reported.

University of Southern California adjunct professor Baum added that she'd spoken to her class about Sweeney. “I said to my class, ‘Explain this girl to me. She’s not pretty, she can’t act. Why is she so hot?’ Nobody had an answer,” Baum, whose credits include Father of the Bride and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, said.

“Then the question was asked, ‘Well, if you could get your movie made because she was in it, would you do it?’... That’s a very hard question to answer because we all want to get the movie made and who walks away from a green light? Nobody I know. Your job is to get the movie made,” Baum added.

Baum has since voiced her regret over the comments, telling TMZ that she doesn't usually speak about an actor like that. Meanwhile, a representative for Sweeney said in a statement to PEOPLE, “How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman."

"If that’s what she’s learned in her decades in the industry and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that’s shameful," they added. "To unjustly disparage a fellow female producer speaks volumes about Ms. Baum’s character."
