Swedish Label Rave Review Makes Latest Collection Out of Scrapped Car Parts
With creativity, there are no limits to upcycled fashion, as rising Swedish label Rave Review proves in its latest collection. The brand has created an entire capsule made out of scrapped car parts, continuing its exploration of sustainable fashion.
Working with the automobile manufactuerer Škoda, Rave Review's Josephine Bergqvist and Livia Schück created garments that utilize leftover scraps from cars, breathing life into materials that are used and forgotten.
"We have never worked with car parts," the co-founders reveal in a behind-the-scenes video shared by Škoda. The two present a waist bag for the outdoors, made out of used car seats and seatbelts. Another statement piece highlighting the collection is a bomber jacket made entirely out of car seats. These garments and accessories are accentuated with bold color-blocking, check patterns and more. Elsewhere, a pair of trousers are constructed with zipper detailing transforming the pants into shorts.
