'Survivor 46's Idol Paranoia and Alliance Destruction Leads to Another Shocking Vote

Q's wild curveball of attempting to quit the game loomed large over this week's episode of Survivor 46. The mob boss immediately became a pariah, with even his closest allies plotting his demise. But what what has been coined one of the most competitive casts ever was already looking for bigger fish to fry. And so we were treated to yet another afternoon of mayhem, as idol revelations kicked off more scrambling into paranoid whispering at Tribal Council.

Who got voted off on Survivor 46 tonight?

Hunter McKnight

Hunter McKnight hit the postmerge in a dream position. Though he was looked at as a challenge threat--helping lead Nami to becoming one of the most dominant tribes in Survivor history--his fellow Mississippi native Q had brought him into a cross-tribal alliance with his closest ally Tevin. Unfortunately, the science teacher got a big dose of Survivor entropy when Q blew up his game and Tevin was blindsided. When Hunter lost immunity, he was trying to cling to anything like a tall tree, and was ready to use his idol. But yet another afternoon of scrambling brought Hunter in on a plan to blindside Tiffany, then Q. At Tribal Council, Hunter canvassed everyone to make sure they were good. Feeling secure, he pocketed his idol, feeling the very verbal tide against Q meant he'd get swept out. But his initial read of a ruse proved to be correct, as a wild split tied vote sent Hunter out still clinging onto his idol.

Were any advantages found or played on Survivor 46 tonight?

No! Throughout the afternoon, Tiffany and Hunter both openly said they were playing their idols. However, neither one did, feeling that it wasn't necessary. That proved to be fatal for Hunter, who was voted out with his idol in his pocket.
