‘Survivor 46’ deleted scene: Tiffany says making merge is ‘pinnacle’ of experience so far [WATCH]

In this week’s “Survivor 46” deleted scene (watch above), it’s a tale of two cities as we split focus between the excited merge-feast group and the disappointed in-danger group. Tiffany Nicole Ervin sums it all up when she tells the camera, “Today is probably the pinnacle of my ‘Survivor’ experience so far.” As you’ll recall, Tiffany drew the gray rock so she didn’t get to compete in the “mergatory” challenge. However, she had to back a team from the sidelines, and since she picked the right one, she got to share in their victory of a merge Buff and a food reward.

Tiffany explains further, “I got to watch my team win on my behalf. I got a big fat feast. I don’t even think I’ve felt full since I left New Jersey. I’m guaranteed a spot in the merge. I’m absolutely safe tonight at tribal council. I’m feeling good.” For those keeping track at home, the other six safe players are Kenzie Petty, Q Burdette, Ben Katzman, Tim Spicer, Hunter McKnight and Tevin Davis.

The delete scene then shifts over to the losing group back at camp, which consists of Moriah Gaynor, Charlie Davis, Maria Shrime Gonzalez, Liz Wilcox, Soda Thompson and Venus Vafa. A salty Venus says she hopes the other team “never” comes back to join them, adding, “Just stay out there … stupid food.”

Soda, meanwhile, tries to remain optimistic. “You know what I told myself?” she asks her fellow players. “You win some, you lose some. I didn’t come out here to cruise. This is the game and I’m down to play it. That’s what I tell myself to kind of keep my head up.” She then echoes Charlie when she notes, “You don’t win ‘Survivor’ without going to tribal, that’s exactly what I’m saying.”

Moriah, who is just hours away from being voted out of the game, gets the last word of the video clip. “Coming back to camp, there’s a soberness in the air because you don’t come to ‘Survivor’ to be well-fed,” she states in a confessional. “You come to earn your spot. So there’s just this devastation over knowing that we just don’t have that Buff. It’s in our grasp. I can taste the Buff more than I can taste the merge feast. But it’s just not here yet.”
