SunFest 2024: Roads closing in downtown West Palm, Thursday, April 25. Where to avoid

The first inconvenience from SunFest 2024 for downtown West Palm Beach residents and commuters starts today. Roads will be closed from Thursday, April 25, through Wednesday, May 8 for Florida's largest music festival.

Businesses and residents will still have access to the roads listed below, although it might be a little bit of a slog getting there.

SunFest begins Friday, May 3, and runs through Sunday, May 5.

For the fun stuff, you can still buy tickets early. But don't tarry. They increase to gate prices on Saturday.

One-, two- and three-day passes are available at sunfest.com/tickets.

SunFest will once again have three stages after cutting to two in 2023. It will feature 20 local acts booked for the festival, which is expected to draw tens of thousands of people. It's also bringing back the Art Village, featuring rows of local artists along Flagler Drive selling colorful wares from their tents. Many fans felt dismayed when SunFest cut it from last year's festival.

SunFest's other two stages will still feature bigger acts such as Nelly, Billy Idol, Cole Swindell and Third Eye Blind. The downtown West Palm Beach waterfront multiday festival has lost more than $6 million over the past seven years while hiking prices, cutting days, booking fewer big musical acts and removing longtime attractions.

Single-day ticket price cut for SunFest 2024

SunFest is keeping the same three-day adult pricing as 2023 while cutting single-day admission for tickets bought at the gate.

The three-day price at the gate will be $170. Advance tickets for all days are on sale for $155 online at sunfest.com/tickets until Saturday.

The single-day gate price will be $82, a nod to 1982, when SunFest started. This year will be the 40th festival. Organizers canceled it in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.

Last year's single-day gate price was $90. Single-day advance tickets are on sale for $80 until Saturday, April 27.
