If you've been waiting to find out what happens next in the love triangle at the heart of the series, The Summer I Turned Pretty, well, you better get comfortable on the edge of your seat. Amazon MGM Studios has announced that the show's third season is coming—but the series won't be streaming into our living rooms until 2025.

Based on the beloved trilogy by Jenny Han, the series follows Isabel aka “Belly” and her childhood friends, brothers Conrad and Jeremiah, as they spend their summers in the fictional town of Cousins Beach. While fans of the book may think they know what happens next, folks who have just watched the TV version will have to wait a long time to find out if Belly (Lola Tung) made the right choice between brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).

Of course, those who have read the books can't be completely sure that the television series will mirror the plot of Han's books. While the series has been mostly faithful to the books, so far, there’s always a chance the show will opt for a different ending.  Either way, fans will have to wait a whole year to find out who Belly chooses.

It’s not all bad news, though. When the show does return, the third season will be extra long, Entertainment Weekly reports. While seasons one and two had seven and eight episodes, respectively, the upcoming third season will have a whopping 11 episodes. Guess they needed a few extra installments to pack in all the drama that will undoubtedly unfold between Belly, Jeremiah, Conrad, and the rest of their friends and families.

Fans can make the most of their time waiting for the show to return, by visiting some of the filming locations. The series was shot around Wilmington, North Carolina, and its nearby beaches, including Wrightsville, Kure, and Carolina Beach, which are some of the most beautiful in the South. Any of them would be a perfect spot to read Han's books and try to guess the ending of the series.
