ATX TV Festival Adds Fargo, Pretty Little Liars and Industry Screenings — View Full Line-Up

ATX TV Festival announced new updates to its line-up Wednesday, including screenings of Fargo, Pretty Little Liars and the Season 3 premiere of HBO’s critically acclaimed Industry. All of these are in addition to the previously announced Suits reunion panel that’s set to take place at the annual Austin, Texas event later this spring.

Fargo creator, writer and director Noah Hawley will join for a screening of Season 5, Episode 1 (“The Tragedy of the Commons”), followed by a conversation about the overall season, which stars Juno Temple, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

After showing the Season 3 opener, Industry creators, writers, directors and executive producers Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, and star Myha’la Herrold will sit down for a conversation about the series’ next steps and what its characters Harper, Yasmin and Robert will be up to next season.

Suits’ creator/EP/showrunner Aaron Korsh and stars Sarah Rafferty (Donna), Patrick J Adams (Mike) and Dulé Hill (Alex) have already confirmed their attendance for the show’s five-year anniversary panel, with more panelists to be announced in the coming months.

As previously reported, Reservation Dogs standout Devery Jacobs will receive the festival’s annual Breakthrough Award, which recognizes an individual whose creative voice “exemplifies the emotional, entertaining and artistic possibilities of the medium.” The actress will discuss her career in a one-on-one conversation, including her multi-hyphenate role as actor, writer and director on FX’s critically acclaimed series Reservation Dogs, her recent role in Marvel Studios’ Echo and the feature film Backspot, which she both produces and stars in.

The festival, which begins on Thursday, May 30 and runs through Sunday, June 2, will host other premiere screenings, Q&As and panel conversations. The following events have been announced:

* A screening and Q&A for Max’s Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, the follow-up to Season 1 of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, which features “a new villain (who may or may not have a connection to A).” Panelists will be announced soon.

* Creator, writer, director, actor and producer Mark Duplass (Room 104, Togetherness) and writer, director, and producer Mel Eslyn (Penelope, Room 104) will join for a conversation about the present and future of independently made television, and their collaborations under Duplass Brothers Productions.

* “The Art of World-Building” will take a craft-focused look at building the immersive worlds of For All Mankind, Twisted Metal, The Wheel of Time, Justified: City Primeval, and Gen V, with input from the creative artists behind the scenes.

* A Girls5eva karaoke night with creator/executive producer Meredith Scardino, featuring fan-favorite tunes from the show, go-to karaoke classics, photo opps and more.

* A screening of the premiere episode of MGM+’s new crime thriller Hotel Cocaine, from creator and executive producer Chris Brancato (Godfather of Harlem, Narcos).

* “Talk Scary (TV) to Me: A Conversation with Mike Flanagan and Kate Siegel” — Spouses and horror connoisseurs Mike Flanagan and Kate Siegel (The Fall of the House of Usher, Midnight Mass) discuss the current state (and future) of horror TV and their creative journeys. (Flanagan and Siegel will also participate in separate panels covering monologue writing and horror acting, respectively.)

* “Trial By Content (Live!)” — The Ringer’s original podcast Trial By Content conducts a live, TV-themed episode with hosts Joanna Robinson, Dave Gonzales and Neil Miller.

* “Casting Discoveries: First Gigs and Big Breaks” — Casting directors and actors join for an inside look at the collaborative process of shaping the perfect ensemble. Panelists include Reservation Dogs casting director Angelique Midthunder and casting associate Stacey Rice, and The Bear casting director Jeanie Bacharach (The Bear).

* A 10th anniversary panel for AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire, including creators/showrunners/EPs Christopher Cantwell and Christopher C. Rogers, EPs Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein and cast member Scoot McNairy.

* A conversation titled, “Presidential Forum: On TV, the Industry, and What’s Next,” with executives from Paramount, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures Television Studios and more.

* Panels featuring FBI: Most Wanted showrunner/writer/EP David Hudgins, Silo showrunner Graham Yost and Black Mirror/Station Eleven EP Jessica Rhoades.

* Annual Pitch Competition for up-and-coming writers.

Badges for the event are now on sale at atxfestival.com. Badges range in price from $150-$535, with single tickets for select events going on sale closer to the festival dates. Additional programming details will be announced soon.
