It was a historic night for Sugarland and Little Big Town.

Fans witnessed the two groups joining forces onstage for the first time since 2009, when they performed “Life In a Northern Town” with Jake Owen.

Now, 15 years later, the iconic country acts reunited at the 2024 CMT Music Awards, lighting up the stage together at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on Sunday, April 7.

Sugarland—composed of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush—and Little Big Town—with members Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook—united for an unforgettable performance on Sunday night, performing Phil Collins' "Take Me Home" and giving the audience full-body goosebumps as a result.

It was a milestone performance as Sugarland marked the 20th anniversary of their hit “Baby Girl,” while Little Big Town is celebrating 25 years together.

Fans could barely contain their excitement as it was also the first time Sugarland hit the stage together in several years, after taking time to focus on their respective solo careers. Their last public performance was in 2018 for their Bigger album. It’s also been 13 years since the award-winning duo performed at the CMTs, previously gracing the stage in 2011.

Those watching at home immediately took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their excitement over the performance, including someone who called it the "Best performance of the night!!!"

"such an amazing performance," someone else gushed.

And lucky for fans, there will be a lot more where that came from as the groups are set to continue their reunion on the road this year as Sugarland joins Little Big Town on their newly-announced 2024 Take Me Home Tour.

Sugarland and Little Big Town’s 2024 CMTs performance will surely be one of the most talked about moments of the night, next to Trisha Yearwood’s performance and acceptance of the inaugural June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award, along with the star-studded tribute to the late Toby Keith.
