Stockholm Surfboard Club Joins Forces With Vans on First-Ever Sneaker Collab

Up-and-coming surf-inspired lifestyle brand Stockholm Surfboard Club has teamed up with Vans to showcase its first-ever sneaker collaboration. The release comes after the Swedish label's recent partnerships with names like Byredo and longboarder Alex Knost.

Together, the duo has reworked the Lampin silhouette as an ode to the '90s. "Vans’ heritage and history within the skate and surf scene is something I admire a lot. To work with Vans for our first shoe drop was a perfect match," SSC's creative director Manne Glad shared in a press release, adding: "Lampin as a model is not the typical 'surf Vans' but it’s always been one of my favorite models from the ’90s. The idea with our reworked Lampin was to keep it somewhat clean and give it a deconstructed surf vibe with this collapsible kick down heel for those days when you can’t bother to tie your laces."

The sneaker is kept minimalist, arriving in pale ivory ecru cotton canvas material throughout. The sole is highlighted with SSC's signature woven label, which takes inspiration from the nose logo on longboards, in a deep red hue. For contrast, the kicks are packaged in a box covered in psychedelic graphics.
