Stine Goya Delivers an Icy "Freeze" Collection for FW23

Stine Goya, one of the most anticipated names on the roster at the Fall/Winter 2023 edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week, wrote a love letter to the winter season for her latest runway presentation titled "Freeze."

"This season, our love language is ice. Pure celebration of an endless winter," the designer explained in a press release for the show, which featured crystal ice-inspired column installations on the catwalk. Looking to Hans Christian Andersen's Snow Queen, Goya opened the collection with blue-themed prints on hats and coats, which were highlighted with floral details, also found on metallic silver dresses. These cold textures and colors were contrasted with cozy knit legwarmers, as well as extra-puffy scarves.

Icy, snowflake-like embellishments were introduced later into the collection, with the detail appearing on fuzzy mini-skirts, oversized pouches and coats, while Goya's signature abstract prints took center stage on dresses. The designer's signature checkerboard knit sweaters complemented cargo pants, adding a casual touch to the range, as a model wearing an icy dress with iced eyelashes closed the show.
