'Step by Step' Star Fights Back Against Breastfeeding Shamers

On Hollywood Darlings, Christine Lakin was about to have a rack attack when she was asked to sheath the nipple. While nursing her child in a cafe with her buddies Jodie Sweetin and Beverley Mitchell, a barista asked her to stop “slipping a nip.” She refused, instead going on a tirade: “‘Anybody want some cream in their coffee?’ That’s what I thought. You can go to a strip club, but I can’t do what my boobs are actually supposed to be doing?”

When her friend from Full House, Jodie Sweetin, videotaped the great mammary calamity rant, it became a viral hit and she was contacted by the Bureau of Organized Breastfeeding, also known as BOOB. The folks at BOOB asked Lakin to use her celebrity status for a good cause and fight to free the nipple, but she quickly realized the BOOB organization was a size C for crazy. When they asked her to “pump and dump,” they meant would she pour their collective breast milk on a local breastfeeding shamer.

But in the end, when it came time to bust a move, Christine just couldn’t dump n’ dash and instead, her comrade in all things chest, spilled the milk on Lakin.

Hollywood Darlings airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Pop.
