Stella McCartney and Yoshitomo Nara just announced an all-new collection after the Japanese artist first worked with the designer for her Spring/Summer 2023 catwalk show.

Aiming to bring attention to important issues with a playful touch, the collection hopes to encourage a new generation of changemakers, uniting them through shared activism. Nara seeks to bridge the gap between art, subculture and street culture, with his work known for its social commentary and individuality.

Fusing Nara's tongue-in-cheek illustrations and aesthetic with McCartney's fashion expertise, the collection comprises apparel, accessories and footwear. Standout pieces include the Don't Waste Another Day cardigan, Stop the Bombs tote bag and the Elyse Twins platform shoes.

"Nara has long been one of my favourite artists, he's one of the most incredible artists alive today, so it's such an honour to be doing another collaboration with him. I've always felt our ways of approaching our work are very similar, to be rebellious and punk rock whilst having a deeper message. This collaboration is fun and spirited. Light but meaningful," McCartney told Hypebae.

The new collection is now available for purchase from Stella McCartney's website.
