What special deals will your favorite music store offer for Record Store Day on April 20?

UPTON — Earlier this month, BetMassachusetts.com named Noah Kahan's "Stick Season" as Most Popular Vinyl Record in Massachusetts.

It just so happens that among the big scores for Saturday's Record Store Day at The Nevermind Shop is the Olivia Rodrigo and Noah Kahan record, which has Kahan covering Rodridgo's song "Lacy" on one side and Rodrigo covering Kahan's "Stick Season," both of which were recorded at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge in London.

"It's great to be involved in Record Store Day," store owner Mick Lawless said. "Last year we opened early and it was a major success. We try not to disappoint our customers, but we have no control over (the records) that are allotted to us."

What is Record Store Day?

Record Store Day allows for record stores throughout the U.S. to buy and sell a mix of exclusive releases and Record Store Day firsts. Even rarer small-run or regional titles may be sold at select shops during the event, meaning fans never truly know what they'll find that day.

Since 2008, Record Store Day has served as a treat for record collectors and as an introduction for newer digital-age music fans. The event is usually held on the third Saturday in April.
