Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris have taken their relationship to the next level.
The two appeared loved up on the red carpet of the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, DC on April 27.

Bush, 41, recently appeared on the cover of Glamour magazine and penned an essay for the magazine in which she came out as queer and discussed the end of her marriage to Grant Hughes and the beginning of her romance with Harris, 38.
In the midst of the end of both Harris’ and Bush’s latest relationships, Bush said she felt an attraction to Harris.
Sophia Bush Says Relationship Was 'Deeply Misunderstood' At First
“She asked Harris on a date and says that their four-and-a-half hour meal changed her life," the publication revealed. "And, she says, it ushered in a relationship that Harris says was deeply misunderstood by the public, with rumors and accusations flying.”
“‘There was a lot that quickly turned ugly too. People looking in from the outside weren’t privy to just how much time it took, how many painful conversations were had. A lot of effort was made to be graceful with other people’s processing, their time and obligations, and their feelings. What felt like seconds after I started to see what was in front of me, the online rumor mill began to spit in the ugliest ways. There were blatant lies. Violent threats. There were accusations of being a home-wrecker. The ones who said I’d left my ex because I suddenly realized I wanted to be with women—my partners have known what I’m into for as long as I have (so that’s not it, y’all, sorry!)," she stated.
Bush And Harris Wear Matching Ensembles
Ashlyn Harris and Sophia Bush appear to have weathered the storm and proven that their love story is a lasting one. The two proudly posed for photos at the annual White House event, both wearing sharp black ensembles by the designer Harbison and Briony Raymond jewels.
USA Today reported that the two gushed about each other on their social media pages over the weekend following the Glamour article’s publication:
“In an Instagram Story on Friday, Harris shared a screenshot of Bush's Glamour cover and wrote, ‘Proud of you babe.’ In her own Instagram post, Bush thanked followers ‘for the kindness, vulnerability, and the stories and journeys of your own so many of you have shared,’ adding, ‘Courage is contagious. Here's to a life in progress.’”
White House Correspondents' Dinner Is Journalistic Fundraiser
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is a favorite event where politicians, journalists, and entertainers mix and mingle together. The tradition dates back to the 1920s and is generally attended by the president and vice president.
The website for the White House Correspondents’ Association says that the dinner serves as a fundraiser for their journalistic endeavors.
“Our annual dinner is our main source of revenue to finance all of our work, including support of the journalists working to cover the president, events and programs to educate the public about the value of the First Amendment and a free press, and scholarships to help the next generation of journalists,” it states.
Celebrities At White House Correspondents' Dinner
This is not the first White House Correspondents' Dinner for Sophia Bush. She attended last year's dinner with ex-husband Hughes.
The dinner is generally seen as an irreverent night filled with political roasts, red carpet looks, comedic bits, and more.
This year’s star-studded event was hosted by Colin Jost. Celebrity guests included Scarlett Johansson, Chris Pine, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Rosario Dawson, Billy Porter, Keri Russell, and more.
