Sofia Richie Grainge Has Welcomed Her First Child

Sofia Richie Grainge and her husband, record executive Elliot Grainge, have officially welcomed their first child. Congrats, kiddo! You get an awesome aunt in Nicole Richie and a legendary grandfather in Lionel Richie.

Their daughter, Eloise Samantha Grainge, was born on May 20, according to a new post from Richie, which she shared a few days later. In the black-and-white photo, Grainge can be seen gently cupping Eloise’s tiny feet. “Eloise Samantha Grainge 🤍5•20•24 best day of my life🤍,” she captioned the snap.

Of course, the post was immediately flooded with well-wishes from fans and fellow celebrities. “Congratulations 🥹🥹💗💗💗,” wrote Hailey Bieber, who is currently pregnant with her first child. Richie’s sister, Nicole, wrote, “I now have a new favorite EG. sorry Elliot 🐧💕.”

After getting together in 2021, Richie and Grainge wed in an opulent ceremony in April 2023. The bride wore custom Chanel. They announced their upcoming addition in January 2024 in a very fashionable way: a maternity photoshoot in Vogue. Also on brand? The way the couple told Grainge's parents. “We went to Elliot’s parents, who live about five minutes away from us, and I think I had a box—I want to say it was a Hermès box or some sort of box—and I told everyone that I had bought them a gift from Milan Fashion Week.… Everyone was like, ‘Ooooh, Hermès!’ But then they opened it and it had all three of the pregnancy tests [in it]. That’s how we told all of our parents. Watching their reaction go from like, ‘I’m about to get an expensive present’ to like ‘I’m about to get a grandchild’ was really sweet.”

Per Vogue, the couple had been “casually trying [for a child] ever since they got married in April,” and are thrilled to be expecting a little girl. “She’s growing pretty fast, so [the due date] is a bit up in the air,” Richie Grainge says. “My dream in life is to have a daughter, and Elliot is really excited for a girl too. I think it’s so typical for boys to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters. It was really sweet. He’s very sensitive.”

This is gonna be one stylish girl.
