As of early May 2024, Adult Swim has not renewed Smiling Friends for the third season. Given that the series just returned with its sophomore season, this is understandable. The network will observe how season 2 performs with the audience before deciding on the future of Smiling Friends. If season 2 manages to replicate the success of the inaugural season, Smiling Feiends will return with another chapter.
