Sister Souljah To Publish New Novel ‘Love After Midnight’

Sister Souljah is set to continue the captivating story of Winter Santiaga in a new novel. Announced on Tuesday (March 19), the 60-year-old’s pending novel Love After Midnight is due this fall. Exclusively reported by PEOPLE the literary work extends the narrative of the character first introduced in the 1999 bestseller The Coldest Winter Ever.

Following the second novel in the trilogy Life After Death, the upcoming literary work promises to deliver a powerful Hip-Hop hood style, global romantic comedy from the acclaimed author.

“If you look at my characters and my storytelling, it spans from the inner city to the suburbs to several countries outside of America. You’ll see Japan, Korea, China, the UAE and Oman mentioned,” detailed the Public Enemy rhymer of her literary work in a 2021 interview with the Los Angeles Times.

She continued, “And before writing about these places, I normally travel there and stay long enough to get a sense of the people, the culture, the language. So why belittle all of that effort by then saying, ‘No, this is only urban literature. Only a certain set of people will buy it and understand it and that’s why we put it in the back.’”
