Video Transcript

- Welcome to Reset Your Mindset. I could not be more excited to be sitting here with one of the greatest women of all times, the one and only, my friend, Serena Williams. Hi, Serena.

SERENA WILLIAMS: Hi, Dylan. How are you?

- I think we have to dive right into your beautiful outfit.

SERENA WILLIAMS: So, I'm donning a Cinderella gown because my daughter dressed me. My baby comes to all the meetings with me.

- Hi, Olympia.

SERENA WILLIAMS: Sorry. Olympia, you want to say hi?

OLYMPIA OHANIAN: Hi.

SERENA WILLIAMS: You show her your Cinderella dress?

OLYMPIA OHANIAN: No.

- So, I'm curious if that sort of, that playfulness has been a thing that's been getting you through these crazy times.

SERENA WILLIAMS: I'm just really thriving. I'm here. I'm with my daughter and it's a lot of stuff that I don't get to do normally. I feel like I almost get to be normal, and as weird as it sounds, it's like amazing and I love it.

- I have to say, there was one moment-- I can't remember. It was in early March?

SERENA WILLIAMS: Yes.

- And you did. You let the world know that you were like, OK people, I'm starting to crack. And I was like--

SERENA WILLIAMS: I was starting to crack.

- --I was elated. I was like, OK, if Serena's cracking, I can crack.

SERENA WILLIAMS: It was just being at home all day. And now I'm grateful for it, but I wasn't used to it. You know, just never leaving the house. And you know, I started quarantining a little bit earlier. I was in the house a really long time. And then I was like I'm with a two-year-old, who's amazing, but it's a lot of work every single day. And then she was in this phase where every word was mommy, but we overcame it, and now we're in our Cinderella room.
