About Norman & Blake... Norman & Blake is a photography duo composed of Shannen Norman & Emily Blake. After photographing several events together, Shannen and Emily realized the value of having two unique sets of experienced eyes covering the day, and the resulting images proved to be rich and complementary. They decided to combine their skill sets by forming a partnership in early 2017, and now run Norman & Blake from their Arts District studio in Los Angeles. The Party... We wanted to celebrate the launch of our new company along those who have been a part of our journey. We chose the Parachute Hotel in Venice because of it's cool, eclectic yet elevated style. We were so thrilled to be in the hands of the lovely Daniella and Sunna of Bash Please who took our vision for Norman and Blake and translated it perfectly for a festive party. Similarly, Sophia of Isa Isa created unique centerpieces and arrangements around the space by using dried, foraged foliage. The table was laid with linens from the effortlessly cool Parachute Home and Heather Taylor Home with dinnerware from Casa de Perrin. Beth of Whoa Nelly presented a true culinary experience our guests - a crowd favorite being the butternut squash and preserved lemon gnocchi with sage brown butter, pine nut puree, and pomegranate. And we couldn't have had a party without the dart collective and the delicious cocktails from Pharmacie. It was such a gorgeous and exciting celebration where we surrounded by our industry friends, both old and new.
