An All-New Season of Erin and Ben Napier's 'Home Town Takeover' Is Happening

If you're a passionate fixer-upper (or a passionate wannabe fixer-upper 😉), we have some exciting news for you! Erin and Ben Napier are returning to HGTV yet again with the second season of their reality series, Home Town Takeover!
The Southern couple is known for remodeling somewhat worn-down homes into people's dream homes in their series, Home Town. But Home Town Takeover—which saw its first season air in May of 2021—puts a spin to that mission by remodeling an entire hometown.
Home Town Takeover's first season focused on a small town: Wetumpka, Alabama. Erin and Ben famously remodeled the town for what might have been their biggest project ever. And, there were certainly lots of tears (of joy).
"Watch the finale of Home Town Takeover and see me cry on TV for the second time ever," Erin said on Instagram in 2021, as the first season wrapped up. "I still miss our friends there and hope so much we helped plant some good seeds and left it better than we found it."
This time, however, the couple is changing things up and heading out of the South for their second season. Their next stop? Fort Morgan, Colorado!
But the location is just one surprise. The fact that there's even a second season at all is somewhat shocking! Erin was very vocal about how rewarding the process was, but also how taxing it was for a mom of two.
"I'll be honest, the takeover life is not all that simpatico with family life," Erin said in a tweet. "It was an amazing adventure for us, but likely the only one like it until (maybe) our girls are much older."
But with the announcement of the new season, it seems like a solution was found: The addition of another handy-Southern couple to the Takeover team!
That's right! Jenny and Dave Marrs from Fixer to Fabulous will be joining the Napiers in their venture to renovate the Colorado town.
But that's not all! According to HGTV, other Food Network and HGTV all-stars will also help out. So far, the team consists of Jonathan Knight (Farmhouse Fixer), Molly Yeh (Girl Meets Farm), Ty Pennington (Rock the Block), Ben and Cristi Dozier (Building Roots), and Jasmine Roth (Help! I Wrecked My House).
The six-episode season will aim to refresh a local bowling alley, spruce up the downtown business district, and update homes of local heroes.
Home Town Takeover will premiere on Sunday, April 23 at 8pm ET/PT. You can also stream on the same day over at Discovery+.
