In one of several lawsuits, Sean “Diddy” Combs is fighting claims of sexual assault from more than 30 years ago.

Combs wants to dismiss several claims of sex trafficking in a lawsuit filed by plaintiff Joi Dickerson-Neal.

Combs' legal team is arguing that some of the claims were brought under laws that didn't exist and against companies that were not formed at the time of the alleged incident, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY.

She is suing Combs under the New York Services for Victims of Human Trafficking Law. Dickerson-Neal filed her complaint in November in Manhattan Supreme Court, a day before the New York State Adult Survivors Act expiration date, and alleged she was drugged, sexually assaulted and abused by Combs and was the victim of "revenge porn," according to court documents obtained by USA TODAY.

On March 25, during an investigation by Homeland Security agents, Combs' two homes were raided in Los Angeles and Miami.

Here’s what we know.

Sexual assault lawsuits filed against Sean 'Diddy' Combs

As of now, Combs has at least four active federal lawsuits filed against him. Here are the other active lawsuits against Combs and his son:

  • Rodney Jones v. Sean Combs: The lawsuit filed by music producer for Bad Boy Records, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, accuses Combs and several of his associates of participating in a "sex trafficking venture." The civil lawsuit, filed in U.S. federal court for the southern district of New York and obtained by USA TODAY, alleges that Combs sexually harassed, drugged and threatened Jones for more than a year.

  • Jane Doe v. Sean Combs: Doe alleges that Combs and two others gang raped her in 2003 when she was 17 years old during her junior year of high school. Former Bad Boy Entertainment president Harve Pierre, who has also been accused of sexual assault in a separate suit, was also named in the lawsuit.

  • Liza Gardner v. Sean Combs: Gardner filed a lawsuit accusing Combs and singer Aaron Hall of forcing her to have sex with them against her will when she was 16.

  • Grace O’Marcaigh v. Christian Combs: Combs’ 26-year-old son, Christian “King” Combs, is being sued for sexual assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other allegations. The lawsuit brought by Grace O’Marcaigh claims that she was sexually assaulted while working as a yacht deckhand for the Combs family during Christmas break in 2022 in the Caribbean. She is also asking that Sean Combs be held liable.

Dallas megachurch pastor T.D. Jakes was mentioned in Diddy lawsuit

Bishop T.D. Jakes was mentioned in the Rodney Jones v. Sean Combs lawsuit. He was not named a defendant in the lawsuit. The lawsuit states that Jones has “irrefutable evidence” of “Mr. Combs detailing how he planned to leverage his relationship with Bishop T.D. Jakes to soften the impact on his public image of Cassie Ventura’s lawsuit.”

According to The Dallas Morning News, in December 2023, Jakes was accused of participating in sex parties hosted by Combs in unverified reports on social media. Jakes responded to the reports in a Christmas Eve service at The Potter’s House.

“The worst that could happen, if everything was true, all I got to do is repent sincerely, from my heart,” he said. “There’s enough power in the blood to cover all kinds of sin. I don’t care what it is, the blood would fix it,” Jakes said. “But I ain’t got to repent about this.”

Jakes founded The Potter’s House in 1996 and reportedly has more than 30,000 members of the church with locations in Frisco, Fort Worth, Denver and Los Angeles as well, according to NBC5DFW.
