Sacai Debuts Carhartt and Nike Collaborations at Paris Fashion Week

Chitose Abe showcased sacai's utility-inspired Fall/Winter 2023 collection at Paris Fashion Week and debuted not one, but two new collaborations with Nike and Carhartt.

This season, hybrid combinations appeared to be the brand's core theme, whether that was within the garments themselves or the brands creating them. Particularly within outerwear silhouettes, the co-ed showcase offered a range of deconstructed puffer jackets and A-line trench coats, each complete with a multitude of functional pockets.

In terms of the collaborations, sacai is no stranger to the inner workings of Nike and this time around, the brands came together for a slight departure from their usual chunky-soled waffle silhouettes. Arriving in a striking electric blue and brown, the upcoming sneaker featured a fusion of mesh and suede on its upper, placed atop a black and white sole.

Elsewhere, the Carhartt collaboration saw Abe reimagining the classic Chore jacket with elements of MA-1 bombers and fleeces. Available in hues of black, khaki and light blue, the workwear collaboration fuses functionality with the signature design details of both brands, alongside a collaborative logo featuring Carhartt's classic C motif.
