Sabrina Carpenter's Yellow Satin Mini Dress Is Giving 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days'

So when Sabrina Carpenter posted pics on Instagram from her 25th birthday celebrations that took place over the weekend [Saturday, May 11], it's no surprise the comments section was full of fans instantly drawing comparisons between her yellow mini dress and the aforementioned yellow gown.

Well, Sabrina's stylist, Jared Ellner, has officially confirmed the singer's birthday look was indeed inspired by Andie Anderson. Even down to the diamond necklace with yellow diamond pendant the birthday girl accessorized her outfit with.

Rather than an identical copy, Sabrina's butter yellow satin mini dress emulated Kate Hudson’s with the hue, V neckline, embellished belt and open back with crossover straps. One huge difference was the length, with Sabrina opting for a mini hem length that featured a leg slit.

Her dress was sourced via secondhand shopping app, Depop from Jules who sells under the username @jbeescloset. She took to TikTok to share more details on the dress, revealing it was an authentic Y2K vintage Cachet design she bought from a New York thrift store for $50 before tailoring it.
