Sabra Is Recalling Containers Of Its Classic Hummus Over Salmonella Fears
Earlier this week, Sabra Dipping Company issued a recall of about 2,100 cases of its 10-ounce Classic Hummus over fears they could be contaminated with salmonella. According to the FDA report, these containers were distributed in 16 states and no illnesses or complaints have been reported in relation to the recall.
The recall was issued after a routine test done by the FDA and only affects one SKU of 10-ounce containers of the brand's Classic Hummus were produced on Friday, February 10, 2021, between the hours of 6:00 PM and 12:00 midnight with a “Best Before” date of April 26. They were distributed to the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Indiana, Mississippi, Maine, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, New Jersey, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. No other Sabra products are affected by this recall and the FDA notice said it's unlikely you'll find the affected products on shelves since they're more than halfway through with their shelf life.
