‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Untucked’ season 6 episode 3 recap: ‘Snatch Game of Love’

“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” continued its 9th season on Friday, May 24 with the third episode featuring returning queens from seasons past. In the sister series “Untucked,” now in its 6th “All Stars” season, the queens throw back a cocktail and dish the dirt backstage on the latest challenge. This week the queens competed in “Snatch Game of Love,” impersonating “celebrity” characters in the comedy challenge about thinking on your feet. Prior to RuPaul Charles announcing the official top two performers of the week next to earn the coveted Beautiful Benefactress Badges, the queens gathered backstage to reflect on the fashion-focused challenge.

The hot topic in the Werk Room was the twist this week that the top two all stars of the week would receive an extra badges to bestow upon another queen of their choice. But first, they had to run through their critiques and how well (or not well) they did in the challenge. While Jorgeous was happy to have survived it, Roxxxy Andrews was disappointed that she played middle of the road and skated by. Angeria Paris VanMichaels gave her props for referencing herself and said that she was “the most unique.” The group seemed to understand that the queens being considered for the top placements were Angeria, Nina West and Gottmik.

When the girls finally got back to the concept of the badges, everyone wanted to know how Nina and Gottmik felt about it because they all thought they’d be the winners. Roxxxy said that she’ll take a badge, but she’s not going to beg for it and Vanjie said she’d happily accept one. Nina asked Gottmik directly if she’d give hers to Vanessa Vanjie Mateo because of how “tight” they are, but Gottmik said she is definitely thinking about giving it to someone who doesn’t have one. Nina reiterated what she said earlier in the day that she’ll probably give it to Shannel. At one point, Nina wanted to pull Gottmik aside for a private conversation, but Gottmik resisted that temptation because she wanted to do her own thing instead.

Guest judge Anitta joined the group later to express how much she loves drag culture and explained that in Brazil drag queens like Pabllo Vittar are mainstream. Having been to Brazil before, Roxxxy and Vanjie shared their experiences being in the country and how loyal and supportive the fans there are. After Anitta’s departure, Plastique Tiara and Roxxxy whispered about the way that Nina is playing the game hard and likely in an alliance with Shannel already and then trying to pull Gottmik away for a solo chat in front of everyone.

In the end, Nina and Gottmik were named the top two and then Gottmik won her second lip sync in a row. Gottmik surprised Jorgeous by cutting her off from earning a badge next week.
