I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince New Anime Trailer Reveals Assassin Guild Arc

On May 6, 2024, the official staff of the I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability anime released a trailer for the upcoming Assassin Guild arc. The trailer, which revealed additional cast members, was released alongside a new key visual.

The anime is based on the light novel written by Kenkyo na Circle and illustrated by Meru. Kodansha started publishing the famous light novel in July 2020. Later on, Yōsuke Kokuzawa launched a manga based on Kenkyo na Circle’s novels in late 2020.

The new trailer and visual were released in anticipation of the upcoming Assassin Guild arc, which begins on Monday, May 13, 2024. The arc will see Lloyd come face-to-face with members of the notorious assassin guild and reveal their plans for him.

As for the newly announced cast members, the anime will see Nobunaga Shimazaki as Jade, Tomokazu Sugita as Galilea, and Satomi Akesaka as Talia. Shunichi Toki will star as Babylon, while Takuma Nagatsuka will play Crow. Previously announced cast members include Makoto Koichi, who voices Lloyd, Fairouz Ai as Grim, and Lynn as Sylpha. They are joined by Akira Sekine and Rie Takahashi as Tao and Ren, respectively.

Meanwhile, the staff members comprises of Jin Tamamura, who is directing the series at Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab, while Yuuichi Abe serves as action director. Naoki Tozuka is handling the script, series composition, and art management, with R.O.N. composing the music.

Kodansha USA, which licenses the manga in English, summarizes the plot in the following way: “Prince Lloyd wasn’t always a prince… In fact, his previous life is one he remembers perfectly: he was a sorcerer, of sorts. So when he was forced to reincarnate, he decided to continue his studies, prince of the realm or not! But his new life has its own set of challenges, including being a 10-year-old! What’s the 7th prince/sorcerer to do?!”
