Redditor claims to have found miracle cure for whiteheads

If you’ve ever suffered with small bumps on your forehead or chin, then you know just how frustrating they can be. And while you may have tried all the skin care imaginable to get whiteheads under control, one woman claims to have the answer to this problem.

A Reddit user, who goes by the name Salma, said she has battled with “closed comedones for as long as I can remember” and after using this cream for five months, she says they’ve totally disappeared.

Salma posted a picture on Reddit showing a before and after of her battle with her comedones — the first photo was taken on July 31 and the second on Dec. 29.

Her secret? A product called COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid, which she discovered online in her search to eradicate the bumps. Salma said she uses the liquid every other night as part of her evening routine.

In the morning, she cleanses with Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water before moisturizing with a daily Aveeno lotion and then applying sunscreen with SPF 45. Then in the evening, she again uses the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, followed by the COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid and then 30 minutes later applies her Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion.

“It was a very gradual process, I just remember looking into the mirror last week and thinking, wait, didn’t I used to have lots of small spots on my forehead,” Salma wrote on Reddit. “I had another look through my selfies and my [closed comedones; whiteheads] appear to have started reducing mid-November.”

Ever since she posted her before and after photos, Salma has been thanked for sharing the solution to her problems.

“Just wanted to say thanks for posting before and after shots that actually have consistent lighting conditions. It’s frustrating when you can’t trust a before and after comparison because you’re trying to account for changes in lighting conditions, subject posing and camera angles etc etc. Your skin looks freaking amazing, by the way,” one person wrote.

“Wow! You’ve inspired me to dust off my bottle of AHA and get into a regular routine with it,” another person commented.

When introducing new skin care into your regimen or treating any form of acne at home, it’s always best to seek professional advice from your doctor before you start.
