Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy on 'The Good Doctor.'

Just two weeks after ABC's The Good Doctor killed off Dr. Asher Wolke (Noah Galvin), the network is airing back-to-back reruns of the show. On April 16, viewers can rewatch the second episode of the seventh and final season ("Skin in the Game"), and on April 23, they can rewatch the third ("Critical Support"). Both episodes feature the tension between Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) and medical student Charlotte “Charlie” Lukaitis (Kayla Cromer), which thankfully started to ease in the last new episode of the series ("E.C.M."), which aired April 9.

The show will return April 30 with an episode called "Faith." According to the synopsis, "Shaun and Jordan’s patient is in dire need of a kidney transplant. When they find the perfect donor, they also discover that he believes he is Jesus, which could compromise his ability to give consent to the surgery."

This storyline could be an opportunity for Jordan (Bria Henderson) to explore her own religious beliefs, which may be called into question in the wake of her friend Asher's death.

"Jordan is going to be deeply affected by the death of her best friend in this world," Henderson told Parade in a recent interview. "Her life is turned upside down and she's going to go through a series of facing grief and questioning her own beliefs. When it comes to such a devastating loss, it's natural for humans to do."

Fans can find out what happens when the show returns on April 30, 2024 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
