The Real Reason Chance Should Turn in Victor On Y&R

Chance tried to offer his professional know-how from his days on The Genoa City Police Department — and, you know, tracking international terrorists — to Victor on The Young and the Restless during the Monday, April 22 episode. Victor snorted. He doesn’t need any help from any experts. Victor is the best expert on everything. He knows things the police don’t. After all, think of how many crimes he’s committed — and gotten away with. Be gone, silly man, before Victor locks you up in his secret dungeon. (Yup, there’s another crime he got away with.) But does Chance have the ultimate weapon up his sleeve?

Leave Well Enough Alone

Summer (Allison Lanier) tried to convince her boyfriend that Victor (Eric Braeden) is a force of nature. He can bring down Jordan (Colleen Zenk) in a way no one else can.

Sure, none of his plans have worked before. But that just proves that he’s due, don’t you see? Don’t you understand probability? Summer would rather entrust her stepson’s fate to her grandfather, who knows he is always right than to Chance (Conner Floyd), who admits this may not be easy.

The Man I Used To Be

Sure, Chance isn’t a cop anymore. Or a secret agent. But he’s also not an idiot. He knows the stats: Victor and Jack (Peter Bergman) taking matters into their own hands is likely to do more harm than good. Plus, when they pulled in the flower shop van driver to interrogate him, they were actually obstructing justice.

Chance must still have friends on the force. He can report Harrison’s (Redding Munsall) kidnapping like the concerned citizen that he is — and if Victor continues to interfere, he can have him arrested. Sure, Summer will be upset. But maybe she’ll cheer up when Harrison is returned to her and Kyle (Michael Mealor). We already know Victor is a complete failure in tracking Jordan. How about letting the pros give it a shot?
