The plot continues to thicken in Jeezy and Jeannie Mai's tumultuous divorce as they move from prenup and child custody disputes to domestic violence allegations.

Since their divorce made waves last September, the estranged couple have painted each other as villains in their narratives. Now, Jeezy is fighting back against Mai's claims of physical abuse in a statement.

In his innocence plea, the "Soul Survivor" rapper claimed he was not only disappointed but hurt by Mai's decision to accuse him of heinous crimes.

Jeezy stressed that her domestic violence allegations "are not only false but also deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone I loved." He described her actions as a smear campaign, stating:

"This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous. It's disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play."

Jeezy also used the opportunity to draw attention to the duo's ongoing custody dispute, painting himself as a concerned parent. He noted that his primary concern remains their daughter, Monaco; he told ET:

"And at this time, my main concern is being an active father to our daughter as I continue to fight for court-mandated joint custody. Rest assured, the truth will prevail through the proper legal channels."

As stated, Jeezy's statement was a response to Mai's recent court filing obtained by The Blast, where she cited multiple domestic violence incidents. She claimed she suffered physical abuse throughout their marriage, labeling the rapper as a repeat offender.

According to the court documents, Mai recalled an alleged incident in April 2022. The pair had been at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in San Francisco, California when Jeezy choked her from behind as she was heading up the stairs before pushing her down the steps.

The accusations didn't end there, as she alleged the rapper verbally attacked her by calling her a "f-cking b-tch." He also repeatedly expressed his desire for a separation by saying, "I can do so much better than you."

Mai claimed the hotel's security intervened after she told them she didn't feel safe being around Jeezy. This alleged domestic violence incident came a few months after she birthed their daughter, Monaco.

Jeezy's crimes allegedly took place regardless of the time or place, with Mai claiming he abused her just weeks after they welcomed their daughter. The incident, per the documents, occurred in January 2022.

The former couple had been riding in a car together when he began verbally assaulting and calling her unflattering names like "You wh-re" and "I can't wait to divorce you when we get back."

Mai claimed she tried to exit the parked car at one point, but Jeezy allegedly struck her with a closed fist across the cheekbone and eye. This attack, per her narrative, resulted in a subconjunctival hemorrhage.

Another alleged incident occurred in December 2022 at the UNICEF 39th annual Atlanta Mayor's Masked Ball. She claimed Jeezy got physically violent when he couldn't find her for 25 minutes because she was in the bathroom with a female friend.

He allegedly forced her to leave the event before grabbing her violently in the car, so much so that she had multiple two to three-inch scratches across her right breast.

In her court documents, Mai supported her allegations with a series of text messages and photos of her alleged injuries. One of such messages between the former couple seemingly captured Jeezy's confession to endangering his then-wife.

She had sent the rapper a series of pictures depicting bruises on her elbow and knee alongside the words, "Babbbby... I have a lot of dresses to wear this week." In response, Jeezy remorsefully penned:

"I'm so sorry, babe. Haven't forgiven myself for puttin' you in danger. I've been uneasy and sad about it."

Mai also implied that her domestic violence allegations could be backed by the former couple's pastor and/or therapist, noting she told them about the alleged incidents.

Apart from slamming Jeezy as an abuser, Mai also raised concerns about their daughter's safety in his care. She stressed that safety measures were necessary for "securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past."

According to "The Real" star, Monaco had discovered Jeezy's AK-47 in a zipped-up Louis Vuitton bag on their dining room floor in October 2023.

This alleged incident came after the weapon was found next to a bed, which she stressed their daughter "could have easily accessed."

Mai's concerns come weeks after Jeezy bashed her as an absentee mother in his custody documents obtained by The Blast.

He claimed their daughter has predominantly been under the care of her mother and brother, while Mai maintained a demanding travel schedule for work.

Jeezy also claimed that he had been denied access to their daughter for months despite the custody and parenting time arrangement he and Mai agreed upon in mediation.
