Rapper Childish Gambino to perform at Mohegan Sun. Here's how you can get tickets

You won't have to wait until the year 3005 to see Childish Gambino perform.

Actor and writer Donald Glover, known as Childish Gambino in the hip-hop community, announced his dates for his international tour, "The New World Tour," earlier this week, which include a show at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, will be performing on the tour as a special guest with Glover under her stage name, WILLOW.

The tour announcement comes right after the sudden release of Glover's most recent album, "Atavista," a reissued version of his last album "3.15.20" with added tracks and new features.

Tickets for the show will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 17 and can be bought here. American Express Card Members will be able to purchase tickets two days before the public will be able to.

Childish Gambino, where has he been

As his rap persona, Childish Gambino, Glover released hits like "3005" in 2013, "Redbone" in 2016 and "This is America" in 2018.

Since the drop of Glover's last album, "3.15.20," he has been generally absent from the rap spotlight for over four years.

In that four-year gap, Glover concluded his hit FX series, "Atlanta," co-created the critically acclaimed Amazon Prime show "Swarm" and starred in an eight-episode reboot of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."

Glover releasing "Atavista" and announcing his upcoming world tour dates marks a return of sorts to the hip hop landscape. Glover also plans to drop a new project this summer, "Bando Stone & the New World."
