Fans were overjoyed to see Randy Travis at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards.

The country crooner, 65, was among the presenters at this year's ceremony, which is taking place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on Thursday, May 16.

Travis, an 11-time ACM Awards winner in his own right, showed up to the event with his wife Mary Travis by his side. Dressed in a spiffy red and black patterned suit, Travis looked ecstatic to be hitting up the event to present an award alongside fellow country singer Clay Walker.

Fans were so excited to see Travis out and about, as the "Forever and Ever, Amen" singer doesn't always step out for public events very often.

"Oh my God Randy Travis!!" one fan exclaimed on X (formerly Twitter) after seeing him show up on stage.

"Damn Randy Travis thanks for [bringing] a tear to my eyes!" another X user gushed.

"Chills watching @randytravis on stage. Him just being there is amazing. #acmawards," another tweet read.

Someone else added that Travis "looked fantastic" while making the rare appearance.

In July 2013, Travis suffered a near-fatal stroke, which left him with partial paralysis on one side of his body and limited speech ability.

Travis has been largely unable to record music since suffering the serious medical event—but that all changed with a little help from artificial intelligence. The musician just recently released a new song, "Where That Came From," earlier this month, marking his first new song in roughly ten years.

His label, Warner Music Nashville, had the idea to use AI technology to reproduce Travis' voice, pulling from his extensive music book to create the new song.

The 59th Academy of Country Music Awards presentation is free to stream on Prime Video. Fans can also watch the show on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.
