R&B artist Jhene Aiko to perform in San Diego this summer

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Pechanga Arena has added another artist to their summer concert season with the announcement of R&B singer-songwriter Jhene Aiko’s San Diego stop for her long-awaited “Magic Hour” tour in August.

The Los Angeles native is set to bring her first headlining tour in five years with Magic Hour at the Pechanga Arena stage on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 8 p.m. Featured musical guests include Coi Leray, TINK, Kiana Lede and UMI.

Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday and start at $49.50. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Aiko got her breakthrough in 2011 with her mixtape, Sailing Soul(s). In 2013, she was featured in the song “Beware” by rapper Big Sean, which landed on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

Aiko had announced the tour back in 2020, ahead of releasing her third solo album “Chilombo.” However, the tour was ultimately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The tour kicks off in Detroit, Mich. on June 19 and ends in Columbus, Ohio on Aug. 22.
