Through the "Quiet on Set" documentary, a list of prominent Hollywood actors who supported convicted child sexual abuser Brian Peck has been revealed.

In the documentary, Drake Bell shared his story of sexual abuse and what led to Peck's 2003 arrest and ultimate conviction in 2004. According to the documentary, the judge received 41 letters in support of Peck between his conviction and sentencing, including from Oklahoma-born actor James Marsden.

According to Business Insider, it's unclear what supporters were told about Peck's crimes.

"We don't know exactly what these people were told about Brian's crimes before they wrote the letters, and we don't know which of these people, if any, were in the courtroom for Brian's sentencing," Business Insider reporter Kate Taylor said in the documentary. "But these letters show how strong the support for Brian Peck was with people with industry connections."

Marsden told the judge that he had known Peck since he was a teenager and wrote, "I assure you, what Brian has been through in the last year is the suffering of a hundred men," according to the documentary.

Marsden also wrote that Peck had "learned his lesson" and "the earth would fall from the sky before Brian would even think about doing something like this again."

"I've known Brian for 14 years and never once did I ever see any sign of him being capable of something like this," Marsden wrote. "I have lived at his house for months and shared hotel rooms with him and never once did he ever make me feel compromised or uncomfortable in any way. I don't know what it would take to have something like this occur, but whatever it is, it is extremely out of character for Brian."

Marsden, 50, was 31 at the time.

USA Today did not receive a response to a request for comment from Marsden's representatives. Marsden also did not respond to requests for comment from Business Insider or Maxine Productions, one of the producers for the documentary.
