Queen Camilla ‘Afraid’ For King Charles As He Reveals Shocking Side Effect Of Cancer

Encouraging. Queen Camilla is supporting King Charles through his cancer updates. Close friends of the Queen dished that she’s advocating for him to be cautious.
“She has been trying to encourage him to slow down,” said one friend of the queen to Daily Beast. “Of course, he wants to keep cracking on, but she is afraid that doing too much could set him back.”

A report of the Daily Mail from the Ephraim Hardcastle column reported that Camilla makes discreet notes to the King in his briefings such as ‘softly, softly catches the monkey’ and ‘prudens qui patiens’ [the prudent man is patient].
Sources added that king has a lot of “gratification” at his response to his treatment. However, some are concerned “about his determination to take on so many external engagements.”
One friend of the family’s told The Daily Beast: “Of course he should slow down but, as anyone who knows him will tell you, he is not going to. He spent 70 years as the first in line to the throne, and he is determined to do the job as best he can for whatever time remains to him. It’s a worry for everyone, because he has made no secret of the fact that he still has cancer and is still getting treated for it, but I think he wants to raise awareness of the reality that cancer is something that a lot of people live with and make the best of.
They continued, “Morale is a huge factor when you have cancer, and he is making the best of it in his own way. Being king is what he was born to do.”
King Charles returned to his public duties on April 30, 2024. On April 26, 2024, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles would make his first public outing after his cancer diagnosis. “His Majesty The King will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis,” read a statement at the time. “To help mark this milestone, The King and Queen will make a joint visit to a cancer treatment center next Tuesday, where they will meet medical specialists and patients.” King Charles’ first outing with his wife Camilla stressed the importance of early cancer detection and learn more about the innovative research happening at the hospital supported by Cancer Research U.K.

During a visit to the Army Flying Museum in Middle Wallop, the king spoke with British Army veteran Aaron Mapplebeck, who’d undergone treatment for testicular cancer. Mapplebeck revealed that he’d lost his sense of taste during chemotherapy and the King revealed it happened to him too, per the Daily Mail.
More than a week later, his son Prince Harry visited his home country of England for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. He reportedly did not meet up with his father due to the monarch’s busy schedule. Harry’s spokesperson told Us Weekly, “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program.”
