Over the years, Amazon’s free two-day delivery for Prime members has fueled the online retailer to the top of the e-commerce leaderboard. There isn’t a company that even comes close to Amazon’s wide selection, low prices and ultra convenient free two-day delivery. However, things just got a little better for all Prime members.

Amazon is slowly rolling out free one-day delivery throughout the United States. That’s right! With free one-day delivery, you could order something on Amazon like Cottonelle FreshCare Flushable Wipes for Adults and have it shipped to your home by 9 p.m. the following day.

How does free one-day delivery work?

The online retailer is making this option available under the checkbox “Get It by Tomorrow” on the right-hand side of every product page. This opens up delivery for just about any last-minute occasion like birthday gifts, anniversary gifts or last-minute vacation plans.

The best part about free one-day delivery is that it’s included with all Prime memberships with no additional cost and no minimum purchase. Just buy anything that falls in the free one-day delivery category like a Lysol Disinfecting Wipes value pack and you’ll get it in your hands the following day.

Amazon hopes this will be the standard for Prime members over the next few years.

Same-day delivery and Prime Now

In addition, the e-commerce giant has even faster delivery options like free same-day delivery and free two-hour delivery called Prime Now. These services are only available for members who live in large metro areas like New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and more. In fact, Amazon even offers free two-hour delivery for Whole Foods Market grocery stores in nearly 90 cities, while free 30 minute pick-up is also available in 30 metro areas.

What’s Amazon Day?

Meanwhile, if you want to reduce your carbon footprint with so many deliveries, the online retailer also offers an Amazon Day option. Just pick one day out of the week and Amazon will send all of your deliveries to your home on that particular day.

For example, you can set your Amazon Day to Friday. Throughout your week, order anything on Amazon and choose “Your Amazon Day” at checkout. Everything you ordered between Saturday and Thursday will be sent to your home in one big delivery on Friday instead of periodically throughout the week. This would cut down on delivery truck emissions and labor costs, while giving you more to look forward to at the end of your week.

Bottom line

As a Prime member, you have a variety of ways to receive deliveries from Amazon in the most convenient and efficient way possible — including free one-day delivery, free same-day delivery, free two-hour delivery and much more.

If you’re not a Prime member, the online retailer has a free 30-day trial for anyone who would like to experience the perks without paying a dime. However, if you’re not happy with the service, you can cancel it anytime within 30 days. Sign up here.
