Pete Davidson is ready to take the next step in his life and become a father.

During an appearance on Kevin Hart's TV show, Hart to Heart, the former Saturday Night Live comedian admitted his ultimate goal is to have a family.

"Definitely a family guy. My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid. That's, like, my dream. Yeah and so it's, like, super corny," Davidson said.

Davidson explained that because his childhood was "not great" after his father passed away on 9/11, he has always dreamt of having a solid family unit.

"It would be so fun dress up a little dude, like, or you know, like, you saw it's just, like, I'm so excited for, like, that chapter," he told Hart. "So, like, that's kind of what I'm just preparing for now, is trying to be, like, as good of a dude and develop and get better so when that happens, it's just easier."

This isn't the first time Davidson has talked about his dreams of becoming a dad. In 2020, he told Charlamagne tha God it would be an "awesome" experience to have kids. "I want to be there for something or do something that I didn't have growing up. That's my biggest thing," Davidson said at the time. "I just want to have a kid, that's it. … [They] would keep me around, keep my head up."

The comedian is currently dating Kim Kardashian, who shares four kids with ex Kanye West. And though the SKKN founder has said they are taking their romance day by day, she recently admitted she hopes Davidson is in her life for "a long time" and suggested she could be open to having more kids in the future.

Meanwhile, sources have said Davidson is great with Kardashian's children.

"Pete and Kim's relationship has become more serious, and Kim feels very comfortable allowing Pete to be around the kids and has spent a lot of time with them recently," a source told E! News. "Kim didn't want to force anything and loves that it has been a natural progression. She loves that she can trust Pete to take them to do activities on his own."
