Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. on 'sad and demented' Trump loss in court: 'LOL'

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman appeared on The Situation Room With Wolf Blitzer on Sunday where he weighed in on President Trump’s latest defeat in court. On Saturday, a federal judge threw out Trump’s lawsuit challenging the results of the election in the state, saying that the Trump team’s case lacked factual proof.

Asked his reaction to the case being thrown out and the appeal, Fetterman responded, “L-O-L. I mean, I don’t know what else you can say but L-O-L.”

While Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani has said the decision actually helps them because it may get them to the Supreme Court quicker, Fetterman doesn’t believe the lawsuit has a chance.

“The same likelihood that they would have a case is the same likelihood that we have left an enchanted village of Trump voters uncounted somewhere in Pennsylvania that no one realized yet,” Fetterman said. “I mean, it’s fantasy at this point.”

The Trump legal team has not fared well in court, winning only a couple of inconsequential cases while losing dozens more, and Fetterman believes they are showing any future campaigns that might challenge election results in court what not to do.

“I think the only defining lesson for any future campaign that would try to do this is, you can’t be as sad and demented as the Trump campaign has performed,” Fetterman said. “I mean, that’s really the only lesson. Like, don’t do what they’ve tried to do in Pennsylvania and elsewhere, because they have literally no basis.”

The Situation Room With Wolf Blitzer airs weeknights at 5 p.m. on CNN.
